Going the Extra Mile: Quality and Quantity of Service

On our life journey to success, a sure winner combination would be our quality of service, quantity of service and the mental attitude with which we do it.

Bestselling author Napoleon Hill explains this is his book Think and Grow Rich as the Principle of Going the Extra Mile. Going the extra mile is the action of rendering more and better service than that for which you are presently paid. When you go the extra mile, the Law of Compensation comes into play.

Rendering more and better service than one is expected to render and doing it with a positive mental attitude.

Keep this formula in mind. QQMA= Quality of Service X Quantity of service  X mental attitude.  Done consciously and deliberately, this will bring you benefits multiplied many times over.

1  It will bring you to the favourable attention of people who will be willing to help you,
2.  The service you render will bring back greater than average compensation,
3.  It will make you indispensible in your calling,
4.  It will  challenge you to do a better job than done previously,
5.  It will give you preference when work is slack and others are laid off,
6.  It will help you benefit by the law of contrast because  others will not do the first mile,  let alone the next,
7.  It will improve your personality  and make you liked by others,
8. It will give you a  keen,  alert imagination. greater self reliance and make you move forward,
9.  It will inspire you to move on your own personal initiative than wait for others, a habit of leaders,
10.  It helps you destroy the destructive habit of procrastination,
12. Jt makes others respect your integrity and inspire them to go out of their way and cooperate with you,
13.  It helps you develop deliberateness of purpose,
14.  It provides you with the one and only excuse of asking for promotion to a better station in life and
        better pay,
15.  And it conditions your mind to maintain a mastermind alliance with others.

So, from now on, go for the extra mile.  And if  you complain that you are not receiving enough  for going the extra mile, change positions and market your services where it pays to go the extra mile.

Good luck on your lifejourney to success!
