Believe in Yourself: The power for success

“A person who doubts himself is like a man who would enlist in the ranks of his enemies and bear arms against himself. He makes his failure certain by himself being the first person to be convinced of it.”

Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870);
Writer, Author

Believe in yourself!

What was written almost a century ago by Napoleon Hill remains true until today.

He said:

To be successful you must become a person with a great capacity for belief....and the place to start believing is with yourself.

Recognize that you were born with the privilege  to take  complete control of your own mind and make it give you whatever you demand in life.  The Creator never intended for you to beg for anything in your life.

You can have whatever you want if you have a capacity for belief, to direct your mind to whatever you want and off the things you do not want.

Applied faith is the only means by which the master key can be appropriated and used.

To create the mental attitude  favourable for the expression of faith:
1.  Know what you want and believe that you can and will get it
2.  Give expressions of gratitude many times daily for having received that  what you want, even if you haven’t received it  physically  yet...possession first starts in the mind...
3.  Keep your mind open for haunches from  within, and when you are inspired to action, do not wait but move on your personal initiative at once.  There can be no application of applied  faith without action.
4.  When overtaken by defeat as you may be many times, remember that man’s faith is tested many times before he is crowned with final victory.  And accept your defeat as nothing more than a challenge to keep on trying.
5.  A burning desire of the thing or circumstances you want is the  starting point of all  applied faith.  Be definite, believe and act. And keep on acting even if at first you may encounter defeat.
6.  When doubt creeps into your mind, remember that whatsoever  a man believeth, that he shall also reap.

Remember, faith is not something you get , faith is something you already have.  But you may be using it in reverse gear by believing in the circumstances and things you do not want, the things you fear.

Remember also  that faith is guidance only, it is not a power which will bring you what you want, but a power that  can guide you to go after what you want and get it.  Remember also that your faith is limited only by your own capacity to believe.  You can do whatever you make up your mind to do.

Good luck on your lifejourney to success!

Applied Faith: The Key to the Gateway of Success

Faith is a state of mind through which your aims, desires, plans and purposes may be translated into their physical or financial equivalent.
Mental attitude where you may clear your mind of all fears and doubts and direct it to whatever you desire in life. This is one of your greatest asset. Applied faith is the fourth out of seventeen principles for success. Everyone in life is equipped with applied faith. It is the mental attitude were you let go of all your fears and only focus on what you desire in life.

Use Applied Faith
•Faith is awareness of, belief in, and harmonizing with the universal powers.
•Faith is a state of mind which must be active, not passive, to be useful in achieving lasting success.
•Close the door to fear behind you and you will quickly see the door of faith open before you.
•Fear is nothing more than a state of mind, which is subject to your own direction and control.
•Faith will not bring you what you desire, but it will show you the way to go after it for yourself.

The means by which we break the seal of the envelop we have at birth and take full possession of the six riches
1.  Sound health
2. Peace of mind
3.  A labor of love of your own choice
4.  Freedom from fear and worry
5.  A positive mental attitude
6.  Material riches of your own choice and quantity

Applied faith is  the key with which to open the gateway to success.

Going the Extra Mile: Quality and Quantity of Service

On our life journey to success, a sure winner combination would be our quality of service, quantity of service and the mental attitude with which we do it.

Bestselling author Napoleon Hill explains this is his book Think and Grow Rich as the Principle of Going the Extra Mile. Going the extra mile is the action of rendering more and better service than that for which you are presently paid. When you go the extra mile, the Law of Compensation comes into play.

Rendering more and better service than one is expected to render and doing it with a positive mental attitude.

Keep this formula in mind. QQMA= Quality of Service X Quantity of service  X mental attitude.  Done consciously and deliberately, this will bring you benefits multiplied many times over.

1  It will bring you to the favourable attention of people who will be willing to help you,
2.  The service you render will bring back greater than average compensation,
3.  It will make you indispensible in your calling,
4.  It will  challenge you to do a better job than done previously,
5.  It will give you preference when work is slack and others are laid off,
6.  It will help you benefit by the law of contrast because  others will not do the first mile,  let alone the next,
7.  It will improve your personality  and make you liked by others,
8. It will give you a  keen,  alert imagination. greater self reliance and make you move forward,
9.  It will inspire you to move on your own personal initiative than wait for others, a habit of leaders,
10.  It helps you destroy the destructive habit of procrastination,
12. Jt makes others respect your integrity and inspire them to go out of their way and cooperate with you,
13.  It helps you develop deliberateness of purpose,
14.  It provides you with the one and only excuse of asking for promotion to a better station in life and
        better pay,
15.  And it conditions your mind to maintain a mastermind alliance with others.

So, from now on, go for the extra mile.  And if  you complain that you are not receiving enough  for going the extra mile, change positions and market your services where it pays to go the extra mile.

Good luck on your lifejourney to success!

The Mastermind Principle: Success is a team effort

Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

The journey to success is not to be a lonely sojourn, for in order to achieve success, we must have at least one other  companion.  This is the Mastermind Principle of success.  It consists of two or more people who work in perfect harmony for the attainment of a definite purpose.
The Mastermind is actually a team, a combination of the thoughts, efforts, experiences of two or more people who are  attuned to each other and to the object  or subject of their success, their burning desire.
It is the tool  by which your  may use the experience, influence and perhaps the capital of other people in carrying out your own plans in life and by  which  you can accomplish in one year, more than you can accomplish in a lifetime if you were dependent only on your own efforts
The most famous  application of the mastermind existed between Jesus of Nazareth and his 12 disciples.  Centuries later and up to the present, the influence of their mastermind alliance still reverberate throughout the whole Christian world.
When you  form a true mastermind alliance with others, and work with them in a spirit of harmony, you control freely upon the spiritual forces within you in carrying out your plans and desires.
Mastermind principles can give you absolute protection against failure provided the purpose you use for is beneficial to all whom you influence.
Many artists and athletes have increased their income by dramatic leaps and bounds after they made a mastermind alliance with the right manager and coach.
Businessmen who are able to attract the right people around them make a mastermind alliance.  And people who  work for salary or wages,  have the opportunity for higher income or position if they make a mastermind alliance .

Learn to control your mental attitude and make yourself friendly and agreeable to everyone with whom  you are closely associated if you expect friendly cooperation in return. Indifference cannot create a mastermind alliance for you.

A negative mental attitude can bring you nothing but failure.  Remember always your are where you are and what you are because of your mental attitude with which you relate yourself with other people.

Remember always your mental attitude is the only thing that you have complete control.

Success is something that can be planned, and success is something which can be earned in advance.

There is such thing as luck, but it is something you can create for yourself if you know the rules as it is given here to you.  There is a very thin line between success and failure.

Success is getting what you want in life without violating the rights of others and by helping others to acquire it.  There is a known formula for achieving success, and everyone can apply it and achieve success for themselves.

Good luck on your journey to success!

A Burning Desire for Success

“To reach a port we must set sail –
Sail, not tie at anchor
Sail, not drift.”
-- FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

Every June 24, at our citytown , we hold a feast in honor of St John the Baptist.  On this day, near the wharf,  is held a fluvial parade where boats are decorated and arrayed as the imagination of the boat owner takes them.
These little boats seem so helpless in the vast blue sea.   Without an able boatsman, they will be taken by the angry waves, to be smashed against the merciless shores.  An able helmsman, however, can maneuver these boats to wherever destination he decides to go to.
The same goes with our life journey to success. The  beginning of all success is a burning desire for a certain picture of the success that you want, your destination. A burning desire for the   possession of the thing that you long for, or the achievement of a position that you want, or the person that you intent to become.  For to know where your destination is, is the assurance that you  will achieve it.

Our mentor, Mr Napoleon Hill, suggests an activity by which to clarify this destination.  He advises us to procure “a neat little notebook” (in his day, that meant the paper kind).
He goes further to instruct:
1.  Write down a clear description of what you desire in life (your own idea of success, the only limitation is  that which you set upon yourself or permit others to set upon  you).
2.  Precisely what do you intend to give in order to achieve what you desire (and start giving then and there),
3.  Memorize and repeat a dozen times each day (both statements)

Thus, at this point, it should be very clear, that The power to control and to direct your mind to whatever end you desire,  just like an able boatsman and his boat, is the first step in achieving success.

A CENTURY OLD PRAYER:
I  ASK NOT FROM  DIVINE PROVIDENCE. NOT FOR MORE RICHES BUT MORE WISDOM WITH WHICH TO ACCEPT AND USE WISELY THE RICHES I RECEIVED AT BIRTH IN THE FORM OF POWER TO CONTROL AND DIRECT MY MIND TO WHATEVER ENDS I DESIRE...

True Riches in Life

"One's destination is never a place, but a new way  of seeing things."  -- Henry Miller

Success could mean different things to different people.  Mostly, being rich  or wealthy is equated with success.

Which reminds me of three friends: an engineer, a doctor and a lawyer, who attended the funeral of their friend, a priest.
Engineer:  Goodbye, my good friend Father Josh...in your
memory, I will have a chapel constructed....
Doctor:    Goodbye, my childhood friend Father Josh...in your
memory, I will have the new children's
wing at the hospital named after you...
Lawyer:  Goodbye, my best friend Father Josh... in your
memory, I am donating a cheque for a
million pesos  for your favorite charity....
                     here, take it with you,
it's in your name! (Dropping the cheque on the grave)

What a laugh!  I don't have anything against lawyers and its just a joke.  All friends in the story are successful, all are professionals, which many would consider successful.  The priest, in his lifetime, would think of success in terms of spirituality. The engineer would of course think of wealth in terms of buildings, the doctor would think in terms of hospitals as befits his profession.  The lawyer here thinks in terms of money.

But, joking aside, what would really constitute true wealth?  Says Napoleon Hill, it is

1.  A positive mental attitude
2.  Sound physical health
3.  Harmony in human relations
4.  Freedom from fear
5.  Hope of future achievement
6.  Capacity for applied faith
7.  A willingness to share blessings with others
8.  To be engaged in a labor of love of your own choice
9.  An open mind on all  subjects with all people
10.  Complete self-discipline
11.  Wisdom with which to understand people
12.  Financial security

Financial security comes at the end of the list, but together with all other assets which we do not ordinarily associate with wealth.

So there, my friends, what would you consider true wealth?

Please comment....
